BECOMING A VOLUNTEER

Checking out this page is the first step. We have all experienced how challenging it is to walk through the firehall doors for the first time and we want you to know that we will welcome you with open arms an excited for the opportunity to meet you and answer any questions you may have.

Next, someone will be in contact with you to arrange an interview to go over training and answer any questions you may have.
If you make the fantastic decision to join, we will provide you with some forms that will need to be filled out, including

Volunteer application​

medical clearance from a doctor

drivers abstract

criminal record check
(You will be reimbursed for all fees paid)

Once these forms have been submitted, training can begin. Below, we have listed the levels of training available. Everyone, will go through this training at a different pace. We will do our best to work with your schedule to complete the training as soon as possible and support you during your training plan. Our practice nights take place Tuesday evenings between 7 pm and 9 pm. There are also several other training opportunities available on weekends. All training is paid by the fire department and no cost to you. Our next new recruit training begins on September 12th, 2023.
